Your Palate Score is built from your Taste Profile (wine ratings, varietal and region preferences) combined with your Shopping Profile (price sensitivity, budget habits, deal patterns). The score is capped at 2× the weaker of the two profiles — balanced activity on both sides is required. Rate wines and make purchases to build it faster.
Why is VIP locked? — Personalized Matches need enough data about your preferences to deliver accurate recommendations. Without a mature Palate Score, suggestions would be generic rather than personal. Once your combined Taste and Shopping Profiles reach the threshold, VIP unlocks automatically and your personal wine finder is ready to work.
